Story Church is a multicultural, spirit-filled and post-christian inspired movement rooted in Jesus Christ. Founded in Atlanta, GA. we believe in the power of prayer. We believe in the power of corporate worship through song. We believe in the power of the preached word of God (The Bible) operating as a revolutionary and mind renewing tool causing enormous change in our lives. We would love to partner with you and your family on your journey towards purpose, significance and wholeness in God. Story Church Atlanta is our first location.
Core Pillars
Salvation
At Story Church we believe our greatest mandate as believers is to fulfill the Great Commission. We believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again. This gave us access to our Father in Heaven and afforded us a pathway into eternal life.
Multiculturalism
Dr. Martin Luther King, JR. said that Sunday morning was the most segregated hour in America. It is our hope at Story Church to change that statistic in the Southern part of the United States. The Church should be an example of how humanity can co-exist together.
Spirit-Filled
At Story Church we believe that God is still alive and moving throughout the Earth with miracles, signs and wonders. Our hope is to create an atmosphere in which His works can be done.
Excellent In Presentation
At Story Church we believe that beauty and excellence matters to God. The garden of Eden presented to us a picture of perfection, which communicates God’s best. In our presentation to Him and to our cities we want to give our best.
Empowered Men and Women
There are sections of the Global Church of Jesus Christ that believe that only men can speak, teach or lead on behalf of God and specifically in the “temple”. At Story Church we believe God desires to use and elevate men and women to do His work.
Post Christian Influenced
“We live in a post-Christian age.” This refrain is often heard when discussing the present-day conditions of the church in the West. Post-Christian culture, post-Christian society, post-Christian ethics, post-Christian values—these are all rubrics under which worried discussions take place when evaluating our contemporary moment. A post-Christian World or nation is a nation that leans away from God not towards Him. At Story Church we believe in order to reach our current World we must create programs and spaces for skeptics, doubters and the unchurched to ask hard questions and be met with sophisticated and nuanced answers steeped in biblical truth.
Sam Collier
Senior Pastor & Apostle, Story Church
Sam Collier is the Senior Pastor and Apostle Pastor of Story Church Atlanta. He is also the founder of A Greater Story Ministries which houses a nationally televised interview series and podcast called “A Greater Story with Sam Collier”, as well as a partnership with Baker Publishing which recently released his first book entitled, A Greater Story.
Collier was previously in ministry at North Point Ministries, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Newbirth Church, Orange Leaders and most recently Hillsong Atlanta where he was the former Lead Pastor.
